About
I came to the firm after our health plan denied my son's therapies, lost and unsure where to start. They sat down with me, listened to the whole story, and then explained each stage in words I could understand. In the weeks that followed, I knew what was going on without having to keep asking.
The conversation started with the part I didn't want to hear: not everything was within their reach. My father had been waiting months for a procedure in Brazil's public health system (SUS), and I'd rather have heard that up front than heard a promise. I asked the same questions more than once and nobody rushed me.
The medication I needed is a high-cost one, and the denial came with no explanation I could make sense of. In our first conversation they laid out what my options were and what each one would take in paperwork and time, without overselling anything. I walked out of there understanding my own situation, and I decided how to go forward.
My mother was discharged with a home care prescription and the health plan simply wasn't responding. At the firm nobody promised me an outcome: they asked for the right documents, explained what the contract said and what usually happens in cases like ours. Every time I wrote, someone wrote back — and at that moment, that was what I needed most.
